A38 | Cornwall | Road Closure | Expect Delays
The A38 is currently closed in both directions between its junctions of the A388 (Carkeel) to the A374 (Trerulefoot). This closure is due to a serious road traffic collision. Highways England has resources deployed working hard to restore normal conditions as soon as possible.
For traffic approaching the closure locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey.
If travelling towards this area from further afield, you may wish to consider an alternative route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media.
Diversion route details and guidance is as follows;
Eastbound traffic is advised to exit the A38 at Liskeard and take the A390 northeast towards Callington. At Callington take the A388 southeast towards Saltash and Plymouth to re-join the A38 at Carkeel.
Westbound traffic is advised to exit the A38 at Carkeel and take the A388 northwest towards Callington. At Callington take the A390 southwest towards Liskeard to re-roin the A38.
Diverted traffic is advised to follow the solid black square diversion symbols on road signs.
