A14 | Suffolk | Carriageway Closure | Delays 15 minutes

The A14 is currently closed from its junction with the J47 (Elmswell) to the J45 (Blackthorpe) with delays of at least 15 minutes covering several miles of the westbound carriageway. This closure is due to an earlier   road traffic collision. Police accident investigation is on going.

The road is likely to remain closed until at least 7am this morning (06/07/2019)

For traffic approaching the closure locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey.

If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media.

Diversion route details and guidance is as follows;

Exit the A14 at J47 Woolpit and follow the A1088 through Norton and Stowlangtoft to the roundabout with the A143 at Ixworth.
At the roundabout take the first exit and continue on the A143 through Great Barton to rejoin the A14 at J43 St Saviours.
