M4 | South Gloucestershire | Lane Restrictions | Long Delays 60 minute

The M4 currently has delays of at least 60 minutes from J19 to J18, covering several miles of the eastbound carriageway. The delays are due to a vehicle recovery on the J18 roundabout above the carriageway. Which is closed to traffic (access to and from slip roads only). The recovery operation also involves clearing a large shed load of bales of hay, which has risk of falling to the carriageway below. Therefore all lanes are closed eastbound under J18 with approaching traffic having to divert by using the exit and entry slip roads at the junction.

For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time.

If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media.
