M4 | South Gloucestershire | Long Delays 45 minutes

The M4 currently has delays of at least 45 minutes from J19 to J18. The residual delays are due to a vehicle recovery operation on the J18 roundabout above the carriageway which involves our contractors clearing a large shed load of bales of hay, which had risk of falling to the carriageway below. 

All lanes within J18 on the eastbound carriageway re-opened at 20:01 this evening. Access south over the J18 roundabout to the A46 towards Bath remains closed off at this time.

For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time.
