M60 | Greater Manchester | Earlier Incident | Long Delays 60 minutes

The M60 has long delays of at least 60 minutes with congestion covering several miles of the motorway. Long delays are M60 clockwise from J7 - J16 and M60 anti-clockwise from J21 to J16. The disruption has also affected the M61 southbound as traffic seeks to merge onto the M60 motorway and the M62 eastbound approaching the M60 at J12.

All traffic was held earlier between J15 and J16 due to complications with a horse box transfer with traffic released at 16:05 this afternoon.

For traffic approaching the closure locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time.

If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media.
