M40 | Buckinghamshire | Southbound | Traffic Collision | Road Closed

The M40 in Buckinghamshire is closed southbound between J5 (Stokenchurch, A40) and J4 (High Wycombe, A404) due to a serious traffic collision. Thames Valley Police, emergency services and our Traffic Officers are all on scene.

- From J5, take the A40 eastbound, then continue for just over 5 miles to the junction with the A4010 near West Wycombe.

- At the A4010 junction, take the second exit and follow the A4010 southbound for 3 miles, to the junction with the M40 J4 (Handy Cross roundabout).

- At Handy Cross roundabout, take the third exit and rejoin the M40 southbound at J4.

For traffic approaching the closure locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey.

If travelling towards this area from much further afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road Variable Message Signs and media.
