A1 | Lincolnshire | Northbound | Collision | Road closed

The A1 in Lincolnshire is closed in northbound between the junctions of the A606 (near Stamford) and the A607 (at Harlaxton, near Grantham), due to a serious collision involving 4 cars.  The emergency services are working hard at the scene and we will re-open the carriageway as soon as it is safe to do so.  

A diversions is in place: 

Follow the 'black solid circle' diversion symbol and exit the A1 on to the A606.  Travel westbound along the A606 until Melton Mowbray.  In Melton Mowbray, head north along Burton Street, then left onto Leicester Street (one way), north along Wilton Road to the A606 / A6006 / A607 Wilton Road / Norman Way junction.  At that junction, turn right on to Norman Way and continue to the A606 / B676 Thorpe Lane junction.  Then turn left on to A607 Thorpe Lane, heading out of Melton Mowbray.  Continue along the A607 to then re-join the A1 at Harlaxton.
